Rug Hooking Workshop

This class is being rescheduled for January 2022.

Create a small mat of your choice from a list of approved rug hooking kits. You will learn how to design your own rugs, what tools and equipment are needed, and all the steps that are necessary to complete a hooked project.

Instructor Kathy Eckhaus will familiarize participants with traditional rug hooking using wool strips and linen backing and introduce them to the history of the craft as specific to Perry County.

There are 2 steps to registering for this workshop:

2. Ordering your rug hooking kit ($75-$95).

After registering, you will be contacted with kit options that you can order. This is a separate payment.

Ages 16 and up
Registration Fee: $50, or $40 for PCCA members

A hook is provided with your registration fee. You must order your other necessary workshop supplies.

Pre-registration is needed for the instructor to begin preparations and to ensure we meet enrollment minimums.

This is an in-person workshop. Proper mask wearing and social-distancing measures will be in place.
