Q: Why new membership levels and pricing?

A: There are a few reasons for the change. To begin, PCCA membership pricing has remained the same for over 10 years. This pricing adjustment helps offset inflation that PCCA (and all of us) have experienced in that time, and helps bring PCCA’s memberships in line with other organizations in the region.

Second, memberships provide the foundation for all of the programming, events, classes, and artist support that PCCA offers. As we have expand these programs, with a more robust ArtsReach publication, quarterly open mics, solo exhibitions at Landis House, and our biggest Annual Juried Show yet, memberships need to expand with them.

Finally, in the interest of making sure that member benefits match the level of giving, we’ve added many new benefits, including $5 tickets for events, an art supply buyers list, and early event registration. As we add these new benefits – and others – the cost of memberships needed to be raised to offset increased costs associated with delivering them.

Q: Do I still get a 10% discount at PCCA Gallery?

A: The 10% discount at the PCCA Gallery is still available, starting at the Sustainer level ($100-249). We recognize that this is an increased giving level for this benefit. The reason is simple. PCCA is a non-profit organization, and the Gallery is a consignment business. We offer a very favorable split for our artists (65%), which means we keep at most 35% of what we sell. Moreover, every discount comes out of PCCA’s cut. When you add credit card fees, it is simply untenable to continue offering the 10% discount to every member. For our members at levels below the Sustainer level, we will offer members-only discounts and sales throughout the year.

Q: What happens to my current membership? Do I need to do something to update it? Do I still get my benefits?

A: All members who renewed prior to 11:59pm on 8/31/2026 will continue to enjoy their current benefits for a full year. When your current membership is due to expire, you’ll get an email or physical letter notifying you about the pending expiration, along with information about which of the new membership levels most closely matches your previous level.
