Make a difference in your community!

As a volunteer for the Perry County Council of the Arts, you are the lifeblood of our organization’s efforts to improve the quality of life in our rural community through the arts. PCCA’s success is overwhelmingly due to our volunteer support.

Our diverse programs and services offered provide many opportunities to align with your personality, interests, abilities, and schedule.

The following are just a few regular events and projects where volunteers are needed:

  • Events: Youth Art Day, Poetry Out Loud, Gallery and Landis House Exhibition Openings
  • Outreach Tabling Events: Canal Day, Perry County Fair, Heritage Days
  • Maintenance: From raking leaves, cleaning, changing light bulbs to spring gardening, we can find a project for those at every ability level.
  • Creative Program Support: Landis House and PCCA Gallery events
  • Art Education Program Support: Summer Art Camp, Drop-In Art
  • Administrative: email newsletters, volunteer coordination, mailing projects, desktop publishing

There are indeed some intangible benefits in volunteering your time at PCCA. You’ll meet amazing, friendly people who are aligned with supporting the arts, among fantastic art and antiques. We celebrate our volunteers every year at our Annual Members’ Meeting and at our Holiday Volunteers Appreciation event.
