(Parking is available in the large parking lot off of boat launch road. Attendees will have to walk a short 0.3 miles to the Shoaff’s Mill area on easy/flat terrain).

Join us for a creative morning!

Walk-ins are welcome; however, those who RSVP will have first choice of available materials. Open Studio & Plein Air Saturdays are geared toward older teens, adults, and seniors. Children are welcome to attend if supervised by an adult. This event is free of charge.

We will provide one guided art project for those who would like more structure while creating.

Open Studio & Plein Air Saturday Hours:
9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

What to Bring:

– Creativity
– Any personal projects or materials you’d like to work with
– A folding/camping chair, hat, SPF, and water if you plan on creating in the great outdoors
– Yourself and friends!
What We’ll Provide:
– A supportive, welcoming atmosphere
– Complimentary water & light snacks
Free access to the borrow/use the following art supplies:
  • Watercolor and acrylic paints
  • Pastel pencils, sketching pencils, brushes, drawing boards, & easels
  • Paper, canvases & canvas boards, etc.!
  • Mixed media crafting supplies including but not limited to; scrapbooking paper, felt, yarn, hot glue, crafting glue, beads, jewelry materials and much more! (Mixed media crafting supplies are only available at Open Studios held at Landis House)

 


 

Open Studio Saturdays and Plein Air Saturdays are supported in part by a grant from the Perry County Community Foundation. 

The Perry County Community Foundation (PCCF), established in 1987, is a regional foundation of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities. PCCF makes discretionary grants to nonprofit organizations that serve residents of Perry County. PCCF also serves as a vehicle for individuals, companies, foundations, and charitable organizations to establish funds that will support the civic, social, educational, and cultural well-being of individuals living in Perry County. PCCF ensures that all gifts, ranging from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars, will work to improve the quality of life for Perry County residents, today and in the future.
