Governor Corbett has recommended that $8.2 million be incorporated into next year's budget in support of the arts, the same as this year but down from $15.4 million two years ago. Please take action! Email Governor Corbett and thank him for his continued support. Email your representative and senator and ask them to support the governor's proposal during the upcoming budget negotiations.

Perry County Council of the Arts

The Mission of Perry County Council of the Arts is to Support Arts and Culture in the Region.

Within this context, PCCA nurtures the creative spirit in adults and children, supports artists and celebrates their successes, actively participates in the continued revitalization of downtown Newport, and enhances the regional economy, implements arts education initiatives in seven counties, and brings vitality and prestige to Perry County, Pennsylvania.

In 2010, over 45,000 adults and children took a class, saw an exhibit, displayed their art, attended a recital, took photographs, interacted with an artist, read their poetry, bought artwork, met, danced, sang, or painted, all under the auspices of the Perry County Council of the Arts.
