The mission of the Clyde M. McGeary Arts Resource Center at Landis House is to provide a welcoming place for members of the community to conduct arts-related research, meetings and classes. Visitors attending the Center will enjoy access to a specialized selection of books and papers related to the arts and education; wireless internet; electronic equipment for distance learning; comfortable tables and chairs; and additional PCCA programs at Landis House.

Clyde M. McGeary

As an originator of the “Arts in Education” concept, Clyde M. McGeary’s impact on the arts and arts education has been felt on the state, national and international level. From 1964 to 1990 he served as an executive in Pennsylvania’s Department of Education,where he worked to bring into being the highly lauded Governor’s School for the Arts. McGeary was a founder of the Susquehanna Art Museum and has served on numerous foundations and boards at the state and national level.
