Artist of the Month, "Wearable Art" exhibit featuring creative designs by weaver Kathy Eckhaus, jewelry artist Roxan O’Brien and seamstress Rebecca Zeigler in the PCCA Gallery, One S. October 2008

Ongoing Touring Exhibits feature art at local venues.

October 4 – Newport Canal Day features live musical entertainment, art & craft vendors, an Open Antique Market, and food vendors. Also, enjoy children's activities and visit the many shops of downtown Newport. The event is organized by Newport Revitalization & Preservation Society and PCCA, in conjunction with the Newport Borough. For more information or to become a vendor, please call Lori McNaughton at (717) 567-3153 between 9am and 5pm.

October 4 – Kids Art-Fest beginning at noon at the Little Buffalo Festival at Little Buffalo State Park outside of Newport. Make 'n take art projects, entertaining performances and fun, educational workshops. Free and open to the public.

October 5 – Sunday Arts Hour presents the Brandywine Piano Duo at 3 p.m. at the Fetter House in Landisburg. Refreshments following the concert. Free and open to the public.

October 7 & 14 – Jewelry Making Classes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Landis House, 67 N. 4th Street, Newport. To register, please contact PCCA.

October 11 - "A Taste for the Arts" PCCA fundraising event. Details to be announced.

October 19 – Eastern Perry County Recital Series presents the Heritage Brass Quintet at 3 p.m. at Highland United Presbyterian Church, 11 Church Road, Newport.

October 22 Perry County Camera Club meets at 6 p.m. at the Newport Public Library, 316 N. 4th Street, Newport. All levels welcome. Free and open to the public.

Member artists exhibit at the PCCA Gallery throughout the holiday season and beyond. Extended holiday hours in December.

Ongoing Touring Exhibits feature art at local venues.

November 1 Artisan Marketplace of Perry County Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the PCCA Gallery. HACC Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies and Perry County Council of the Arts Gallery collaborate to showcase a variety of affordable gift items by local crafters. Free and open to the public.

November 2 – Sunday Arts Hour presents Lydian Winds at 3 p.m. at the New Hope United Church of Christ in Landisburg. Refreshments following the concert. Free and open to the public.

November 14 – Youth Coffeehouse from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Spotlight Cafe, Shermans Dale. Contact PCCA for details or to sign up to perform.

November 16 – Eastern Perry County Recital Series presents the Edgemont Chamber Trio at 3 p.m. at Highland United Presbyterian Church, 11 Church Road, Newport.

November 26 Perry County Camera Club meets at 6 p.m. at the Newport Public Library, 316 N. 4th Street, Newport. All levels welcome. Free and open to the public.
