Marsha Lucidi, Oils

Marsha’s appreciation of art began when she was in high school and studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She went on to further study art in college and after graduation, used her art education in various careers. When she retired from a full-time career, she came back to the art world as a studio artist creating oil paintings. She has since developed a love for the freedom and colorful aspect of the impressionistic school. She feels that her paintings should show emotion and create a feeling of excitement in the viewer. Marsha works mainly on landscapes done plein-aire in and around Cumberland, Perry and Adams Counties as well as from photos of her many travels in the United States and Europe. She tackles Many different subjects depending on her inspiration and finds challenges in many different styles. She exhibits in various venues in the area and continues to search for new and interesting subjects to paint. Her artwork can be found in several private collections. She is a member of the Carlisle Art Association, The Perry County Council of the Arts, the Adams County Arts Council and the Mechanicsburg Art Center and School. A small sample of her work is on display at the Second Floor Gallery in Mechanicsburg, Downtown Antiques in Carlisle, the Perry County Council of the Arts in Newport and various restaurants and libraries in the area.
