Bob Gay, Photographer
Biography
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Juniata College in the field of Behavioral Sciences and continued my education at Findlay College in Ohio in their Equine Sciences department. I have been employed with Shaw Industries for over 18 years. I started my photography when my wife and I were snorkling in the Bahamas shortly after our marriage over 13 years ago. We developed a joint interest and love for the clear torquoise waters and the creatures that reside in it. We became scuba certified and have been diving mainly in the Bahamas and the Carribean. After starting with disposible cameras and a flashlight, upgrades were made to an Olympus C-4000, an Ikelite housing, and a DS-125 strobe. Now with the latest upgrade, the Canon 40D, I continue shooting on the topside, and studying composition and postprocessing between dive trips. My inspiration comes from a desire to capture and share the beauty and diversity of God's creation using the gifts and skills He has given me. Hopefully, the viewer will be drawn into the moment, as if they were there.
