Karen Galbraith, Jewelry Artist

Biography

Karen Galbraith lives in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, with her husband and two boys.  After years of bug hunting and watching sports, she began making jewelry in 2004 in an effort to reconnect with her girly side.  Mostly self-taught, she enjoys working with a variety of materials, including sterling silver, gold, Precious Metal Clay, micro-macrame with nylon and silk, semi-precious and glass beads, and anything else she can make jewelry out of, including shells and sea glass.  She is a member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen - Yellow Breeches Chapter, the Carlisle Arts Learning Center, the Perry County Council for the Arts, the Mechanicsburg Arts and Crafts Center, and has been published in national wire working, beading, and craft magazines.  Her work can be found in various sales galleries in Central Pennsylvania.
