Lynn Fry, Photographer

Biography

Born into a military family, Lynn traveled all over the United States. Pennsylvania become her home, when her dad retired. She graduated from Penn State with a degree in Business Administration. Mother of four children, she has been involved in soccer and scouting. While crafts have been a favorite hobby of her for many years, she has been working on abstracts for a year. Crafts and abstracts are similar since both take raw materials and create a new product.

Artist Statement

To me, it is all about color and lines, which are the essential parts of my abstracts.  Traditional photos from different artists can look similar, while abstracts rarely look similar.  Bright colors seem to make people happy. In creating my colorful abstracts,  it relieves some stress from the duties of everyday life. It gives me joy to create my art and a greater joy to see others enjoy it.

Technique

Starting with a digital image from a DSLR, I can create a totally different looking image from the original one, by using different tools in Photoshop. Most of the finished products are unrecognizable from the original photo.
