Helen Ernest, Jewelry Artist

Artist's Biography

After retiring from office work, I feel blessed to have found this creative outlet late in life.  I started out making polymer clay pendants and decided to learn beading so I could string the pendants on necklaces.  Then I started making bracelets and earrings.

I’m a member of PCCA and have jewelry displayed at the Gallery in Newport.  I participate in craft shows in Central and Northeast Pennsylvania.

Artist's Statement

I love all aspects of crafting jewelry—selecting my beads in stores, designing and constructing the pieces and trying new techniques.  I also enjoy selling my jewelry at craft shows.  I’ve met many wonderful people at these shows.  The artists awe and inspire me and my customers bring me joy when they select my pieces for themselves or for gifts.
