Linda "Zeelinda" Dissinger, Mixed Media Artist
Biography
Zeelinda began her creative adventures at an early age when she was encouraged to add crayoned murals to the family Frigidaire (Don’t try this at home, as finishes have changed and are no longer kid-artist friendly!)
It is said that one day her Great-grandmother, Gertrude Dietz, asked Zeelinda’s mother(re: an artistic project), “Where did you get that idea?” To which Barbara (Hall) Meininger replied, “Out of my head,” causing Gertrude to exclaim, “Your head must feel better!” Zeelinda has dedicated her life to the family tradition of “making one’s head feel better.”
Reared in Iowa, Zeelinda began her Fine Arts studies at the University of Northern Iowa. She has since spent creative time in Nashville, TN; Denver, CO and on the Olympic Peninnsula in Washington state. She recently moved to Pennsylvania to marry Don, the love of her life!
