Joan Anderson, Storyteller
Joan Anderson started telling stories after training in storytelling at a Sunday School teachers’ workshop around 1984. Later, she developed a monologue portraying the life of Daisy Low, the founder of Girl Scouting. She preferred to speak to small groups without amplification. Around 2000 when she was asked to portray Daisy Low at a Boy Scout-Girl Scout Jamboree at the Carlisle Fair Grounds, she contacted the Susquehanna Story Tellers Guild for guidance and became a member. She has also performed at the Giant Center and the PCCA Festival at Little Buffalo. She now has a broad repertoire of stories which she tells to school, scout, senior citizen, church, and other organizations. She may be reached at 717-789-3881 or email joananderson@mac.com
